About Varsellisten
Accidents, fires, rescues, traffic messages and weather warnings across Norway – compiled from open data.
Varsellisten brings together accidents, fires, rescue operations, traffic incidents and warnings from open government sources in one place – sorted by time and place, with a map and filters for county, municipality and distance.
Varsellisten is an independent compilation of open data and not a government service. Information may be delayed, incomplete or change afterwards. Always check the original source and don't base safety decisions on this site. In an emergency call 110 (fire), 112 (police) or 113 (ambulance).

Coverage and limitations
- There is no open, nationwide list of fire service call-outs. Fires and rescue operations appear here when the police, the Public Roads Administration or the emergency alert system report them.
- Police messages are given per municipality. We place them at the municipality's centre and mark the location as approximate (≈).
- Messages the police remove are also removed here at the next update.
- Texts are shown in Norwegian as the source publishes them; the Public Roads Administration's messages are not translated.
- History goes back 30 days.
Privacy
We use no cookies and no analytics or tracking tools. Your choice of light or dark theme is stored only in your browser. If you use “Near me”, your location stays in your browser – it is never sent to us or stored.
The site runs on Google Firebase and incidents are loaded from Google Firestore. The map is loaded from OpenFreeMap only when you open it. These services see your IP address, as every website does. We show no addresses beyond what the sources themselves publish, and individual incidents have no pages of their own for search engines to index.
Corrections and removal
If you believe a message here contains information about you that should be removed, or that something is wrong, contact us at kontakt@varsellisten.com. Information from the police should also be reported to the police so it is corrected at the source.
